Scottish Vintage Bus Museum, Lathalmond, 2013 #1

Rain just adds to the fun.
RAG 578 is a Daimler CVG6LX-30 with Northern Counties FH41/32F body delivered in December 1960 to A1 Service owning member Thomas Hunter of Kilmarnock. The body is similar to the famous Southdown 'Queen Mary' series but as far as is known, is the only one to be fitted to a Daimler chassis.

This has a great sounding 6HLXB.
Of interest was the meeting with the owner. He was having a pint in Edinburgh when we drove past in the VRT. He had time to take a snap !

Last of the Supremes

I always thought it was sad that the last Supreme design was that of the Supreme VI. No more panoramic or curved glass ! Still a rare survivor as the body was only built in small numbers.

ANK320X (from new to 2/87)
283URB (from 2/87 to 1/90)
RHE 969X (from 1/90 to )

283 URB (Current)

Caring Coaches of Bolsover had it with chairlift then Coopers of Killaamarsh Sheffield acquired the business and kept it as a wheelchair access coach until it passed into preservation

EDVard in Somerset

A good friend was to be married in Yeovil, so for a surprise wedding gift EDVard offered his services.

So he was treated to a thorough "make-over" at his home depot.

Terry P drove her up to meets some friends who were going to put him up for a couple of days.

After an exciting day in Somerset on Saturday Terry B drove her back home.

A rest at a deserted Exeter Coach Station EDVard pondered whilst the two Terrys enjoyed a toasted tea cake.He pondered why many guests referred to him as her. Perhaps he should change his name to EDVina !
Home. A few odd jobs before EDVard / EDVina joins a gathering of cousins at the Kingsbridge Running Day !
